With an open showroom available on site, feel free to test out the mobility equipment, ensuring you find the perfect fit tailored for your needs.
Equipment Hire
Occasionally, you may not wish to purchase a mobility scooter as it may only be required for a short period of time. Well, at the Disability Resource Centre, hiring equipment is available. For example, you may be recovering from a hospital visit and require a mobility scooter. Hire a piece of equipment for as little as one week. Delivery and collection services are also available.
In regard to pricing, hiring a wheelchair costs as little as £25 per week, with scooters costing £15 per day. If you require a quote or more information regarding the most appropriate fit tailored for you, contact the Disability Resource Centre using the information at the end of this post.
Service and Repair
Is your mobility equipment in need of a service? The Disability Resource Centre advises a service is carried out every 12 months, ensuring optimum levels of safe working are maintained. Services can be made on the following equipment:
- Hoists
- Scooters
- Wheelchairs
- Electric Chairs
- Bath Lifts
- Profiling beds and bath
It is important for mobility scooters to perform safely, and getting a service will allow you to feel safe when using. Here at the Disability Resource Centre, vehicle adaptation North Wales offer scooter and powerchair servicing, which includes the following tests:
- Seating, steering, drivetrain checks on all fixings and operation
- Manual handbrake check
- Motor check
- Tyre checks
- All wheels will be removed and greased
- Wiring and connection checks
- Charger and battery capacity check
