Have you been tempted to try glamping? With all the enjoyable aspects of camping, getting back to nature, embracing wildlife and sleeping somewhere under the stars - but with the added luxury of a warm and cosy holiday cottage, we might have the destination for you. Shepherd's Huts are a nice and traditional take on glamping, still rustic and earthy but with the creature comforts, you know and love. Traditionally, Shepherd's Huts were made from reclaimed items from in and around the local area, specifically crafted to keep out unwanted animals and the elements. In the olden days, Shepherds would live out in these huts during the lambing season in order to be close to their flock. The stunning Shepherd's Huts at Ffynnon Beuno offer all the romance and intrigue of glamping with modern comforts which will only accentuate the camping side of the experience. You can expect the following:
  • Ensuite shower and toilet facilities
  • Luxury Egyptian cotton bedding
  • Towels and toiletries supplied
  • DVD player
  • Covered kitchen with cooking facilities (all utensils and crockery supplied)
Set in the idyllic valley of Ffynnon Beuno, it is a colourful land of pilgrimage and local history. Take the time to explore the local area and immerse yourself in the charm of the scenic area. The valley in which the Shepherd's Huts are set is named after St. Beuno who resided here; his ancient well and holy wellspring which is thought to provide healing and magical properties to all those who bathe in it. In actual fact, the St. Beuno's Well was thought of as a healing well as it was believed to provide fantastic health benefits and to cure ailments of any kind. There is even a pool in which people would have submerged themselves in order to get the full benefits from the well.
